On-page Optimization versus Off-page Optimization
According to some experts, on-page optimization accounts for only one-fifth of the total SEO optimization. Off-page optimization accounts for the other eighty percent. I happen to partly disagree. If the site sucks it will make all off-page optimization completely useless. when off-page optimization counts for 80%, the on-page optimization immediately becomes more important. I like to think of it this way…
On-page optimization only accounts for 20% but it has to be 80% accurate in order to convert traffic into subscribers or customers.
Off-page optimization accounts for 80% but has to be only 20% accurate to get the job done. This statement is a very black and white painting of the situation but it clearly demonstrates the different levels of importance.
On-page optimization must be exact, be precise and track everything.
Off-page optimization is not exact, it just needs to be swift and effective.
